Centipede Firewall
Overview
Centipede Firewall is a full featured firewall and comes with an easy install interface. It is our goal to give the customer an easy-to-use and powerful firewall.
Centipede Firewall uses OpenBSD's ported Packet Filter (PF), FreeBSD ALTQ (HFSC) for traffic shaping, and a packaging system for extending functionality even further. Our company, S4F, Inc., uses the Centipede Firewall as both a firewall and load balancer for supporting our home filtering product, which generates around 40 million requests per day to our servers.
Centipede Firewall includes features such as full control via a web interface, an aliasing system for easing management of firewall rules, failover clustering support via CARP, load balancing, integrated VPN support for many popular protocols, traffic and system statistics reporting, and a packaging system for delevering upgrades and add-ons. Centipede Firewall is one of the most powerful and versatile firewall systems the market has ever seen.
